Abstract

This paper is concerned with the design of a quasi sliding mode control (QSMC) for the synchronization of generalized Lorenz chaotic systems (GLCSs). The concept of QSMC is newly introduced to avoid chattering phenomenon that frequently appears in the conventional sliding mode control systems. A switching function only including partial states is adopted to ensure the stable bounds of the error states in the quasi sliding manifold. The error states between drive and response systems can be stabilized and driven into an arbitrary and predictable neighborhood of zero.
