Semiconductor lasers at period-one dynamics for amplification of microwaves in radio-over-fiber links

Abstract

Semiconductor lasers at period-one dynamics are proposed for microwave amplification through optical modulation depth improvement. Microwave amplification of 27 dB, BER better than 10-, and detection sensitivity improvement of 4 dB are achieved.
