Abstract
For the first time, direct template-free electrodeposition of aligned NiZn nanofilaments was achieved on a tungsten substrate in a quiescent Lewis acidic ZnCl2-EMIC ionic liquid containing NiCl2 at 150 °C by applying an extremely large deposition overpotential.
