Abstract
Characteristic equation for the stress singularities of the form rλ-1, 0 < Re [λ] < 1, for an inclined crack terminating at an interface between two anisotropic media is derived. Explicit dependence of λ on the material parameters is further carried out for materials, both having properties of orthotropy. Characteristic equation corresponding to any degenerate bimaterial problem is obtainable from present results. Numerical results of λ are presented for certain kinds of bimaterial problems, and the influences of the material parameters, the meeting angles and the material alignments on λ are examined. The role of the parameter β0 playing in the oscillatory behavior is also discussed.
