Situation and prospect of recycling industry in Taiwan

Abstract

Recycling industry has grown dramatically in the past decade. This paper presents the history and current status of waste management and resource recycling. Some changes of legislation of environmental regulation and industry development are described. Management issues as well as potential technology problems are discussed. At the end, opinions on the perspectives of the resource recycling in Taiwan are shared with readers.
