Abstract

Skin cancer is a disease in which malignant cells are found in the out layer of the skin. The optical properties of tissues have been studied and used fro clinical or biomedical applications in recent years. Multispectral image data of tissues provides the information of the absorption and scattering of the tissues. The optical diagnosis can provide a safe and lower cost health care than regular method based on biopsy. A preliminary study of a proposed statistical model is present using the multispectral images of experimental models.
