Abstract

This paper is concerned with the stabilization problem for fractional order chaotic systems. Based on the sliding mode control, a new switching surface involving the fractional integration of the state is proposed to simplify the task of guaranteeing the stability of the closed-loop fractional chaotic system in sliding manifold. An illustrative example of fractional Chua's system is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
