Abstract
Solution-phase synthesis methods have become the main approaches to prepare ZnO photoanodes with various nanostructures for the use in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). These methods show several advantages, include their simplicity, low cost, and suitability for large-area preparation. This chapter mainly reviewed our recent researches about solution-phase synthesized ZnO nanostructures for the photoanodes of DSSCs. The effects of ZnO-based photoanodes with different morphologies, prepared by solutionphase methods, on the performance of DSSCs are discussed, and some of the relevant literatures were also discussed. The future aspects for improving the conversion efficiency of ZnO-based DSSCs are also mentioned in the end of this chapter.
