Solving the Attenuation Problem in Emission Computed Tomography Using Homomorphic Filters

Abstract

In order to obtain truly quantitative reconstruction in positron emission computed tomography (PET), the attenuation within the region of interest has to be counted for. In this correspondence, we propose a new approach using homomorphic filters to the attenuation problem in PET.
