Abstract
The resistance of BaPb0.8Bi0.2O3 has been measured as a function of temperature at various pressures. The results show that the compound is made more semiconductorlike by the application of pressure, while its superconducting transition temperature is enhanced before a phase transition, evidenced by a resistance jump, sets in.
