Abstract
Least-mean-squared (LMS) adaptive filtering techniques have been to suppress narrowband jammers in a direct-sequence (DS) spread-spectrum receiver. The authors discuss the modified LMS algorithm for transversal filter structures and lattice filter structures. Bit-error-rate (BER) results obtained by computer simulations are presented, which indicate the value of these algorithms in the jammer suppression application. Curves are presented which show the convergence properties of the algorithms.
