Surface enhancements of polymer-based microfluidic enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay

Abstract

The change in sensitivity of immunoassay on doing various surface treatments was investigated. The enzyme reaction rate of chemically modified microchannels were found to be four times faster than the original. The effect of orientation of antibody on the performance of immunoassay was also investigated. The results showed that at lower concentration of antigen, untreated and treated antibodies yielded similar final signal.
