Abstract

In this research, we fabricate the gold nanoparticles by bottom-up procedure. The gold nanoparticles are fabricated onto the functionalized diatom frustules by self-assemble process. The sample was being a series of measurements and simulation, which help us to clarify the detail of the complex structure, gold nanoparticles on the diatom template, and realize trapping, scattering, and local filed enhancement of diatom frustules. And describing the influence of gold nanoparticle on diatom frustules both experimental and simulating. The simulating of propagating electromagnetic wave and the enhancement effect of diatom frustules with and without gold nanoparticles in the structure with finite difference time domain method give us a more straightforward pictures for the influence of the diatom frustules between gold nanoparticles.
