Abstract

MePEG/PLA block copolymer with polymerizable methacryloyl end was prepared by anionic ring opening polymerization and end-capping using methacrylic anhydride. A stable core-shell type, spherical micelle with number averaged diameter of ca. 20 mm was obtained by dialysis method, and the resulting aqueous micelle solution was core-polymerized by chemical and photochemical methods to produce more stable nanoparticles, which was evidenced by spectroscopy and light scattering technique.
