Abstract
A flexible photoanode with densely packed zinc oxide nanosheets [1] structured film on titanium foil is prepared under various conditions of urea. Its application in a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is investigated. The ZnO film is prepared by calcining a film of layered hydroxide zinc carbonate (LHZC), which is previously grown directly on a Ti foil via chemical bath deposition (CBD). When D149 dye is employed, the solar-to-electricity conversion efficiency of 5.95% is achieved for the back-illuminated DSSC.
