Taiwan Low-Carbon Sustainable Community Construction - A Case study of Jin-Hua District, Tainan City

Abstract

Environmental Protection Administration has been sustainably consulting the community to promote Low-Carbon Sustainable homeland. The population of Jin-H ua District of Tainan City is around 6,000, and it covers an area of 0.279621 km2. Our team took investigations on the field for planning. After carrying out some programs, it has shown significant results that it could decrease carbon content of 5,509,576 kgs yearly through environmental greening; adopting energy-saving equipment, and making effective use of underground water, etc. Taiwanese Environmental Protection Administration devotes more care in building a low-carbon community, and they strive to help the community by achieving a better quality lifestyle for the residents and make more effective use of resources by all means. They are expecting to gather strengths from all over Taiwan, together, to implement the same; and hoping to reach the goal of slowing down the pace of global warming.
