Abstract

A hollow-core anti-resonant reflecting terahertz waveguide is first demonstrated for refractive index sensing. Various dangerous vapors and micro-molecular-layer with 1 %-concentration variation (corresponds to 0.01-index-variation) have been successfully identified. The sensitivity could reach up to 7.17x105nm/RIU.
