Abstract
This paper presents the results of four basic grounding methods used on distribution transformers for personal protection during maintenance of overhead distribution lines. The results are summarized to determine the effective grounding method of protecting distribution line workers on de-energized lines from accidental line energization at load-side. The voltage measurement was recorded with various configurations of temporary grounds. One of configurations is considered lethal. The results indicate that two of configurations are the effective means of protecting distribution line workers.
