TFT VTH detecting system for AMOLED displays

Abstract

This paper presents a new method that compensates for the threshold voltage shift of amorphous-indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (a-IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) degradation by the external circuit with field-programmable gate array (FPGA), and still retains the merits of the simplest structure of AMOLED driving circuit. Increases the aperture ratio to reach higher brightness and lower power consumption.
