Abstract

The equations for porous media and the theory and numerical algorithms of the boundary integral equation method (BIEM) are presented. Equations for two-dimensional flow in confined and unconfined aquifers, flow through a rectanglular region, around a right angled corner, free surface flow through a zoned dam, three dimensional problems applied to wells, and general groundwater problems are some of the topics considered in the text. Three of the computer programs use to solve a BIEM problems are also given with explanatory notes. (A.J.)
