A new three dimensional neutron depolarization beamline was commissioning at W3 beam port of Tsing Hua Open Pool Reactor (THOR, 2 MW) located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The beamline consists of a pair of Heusler crystals as neutron polarizer and analyzer. Two three-dimensional rotators were placed before and after the sample position. The sample chamber was enclosed in a μ-metal enclosure with a gradient field at incident and exit ports. Typically, 0.237 nm of monoenergetic neutron was selected for experiments. A flipping ratio of 23 can be obtained which corresponds to a polarization ratio of 92% of this beamline. The typical intensity is 400n/cm2s at 1 MW operation. Magnetic correlation lengths of Ni-ferrite powders with different packing densities were measured to understand the characteristics of this beamline. The magnetic correlation lengths were observed to be 2 μm at virgin state and about 3.1 μm at remanent state. This magnetic correlation length in the virgin state is similar than the particle size. No significant change of domain size at packing density up to 60% implies that the domain wall motion is hindered by the porosity of the sample.
