Abstract

Three new benzenoid compounds, namely cryptamygin-A, -B and -C together with eleven known compounds were isolated from the stem bark of Cryptocarya amygadalina. Their structures were elucidated by spectral analysis. The synthesis of cryptamygin-A is also described.
