abstract = "The annual energy production of the wind farm has a close relation with the layout. This study investigates the optimization of wind farm layout in the offshore regions of western Taiwan using the wind model WindFarmer and WAsP. This study analyzes the correlation between energy loss of turbine wake and annual energy production to determine the best layout. The results show a summary of maximum installed number of wind turbines in the offshore region of Yunlin area at different water depth area. The total net AEP in 10-50 m water depth area is 7051.2 GWh, and the wake loss increases with more allowable installed wind turbines, and the maximum wake loss is about 12% in 10-50 m water depth area.",
