The simulation of a CCM boost power factor correction

Abstract

The power factor correction circuit is more and more important recently, and the several hardware structures and controllers are developed, such as boost circuit run in continuous conduction mode. But a suitable tool is a lack to simulate the behaviors of system,. This paper presents the simulation strategy for the boost power factor correction in continuous conduction mode. Two simulation methods are discussed: the first method is used to simulate comparator base circuit; the second treats the current sensorless base, and simulate the calculation of DSPs or MCUs. Both run in the Matlab/Simulink environment, and the simulation results will be shown. The simulate methods provide enough information of circuit, and users could focus on the development of controller or structure.
