A differential scheme is employed for the study of the elastic moduli and thermal expansion coefficients of fiber-reinforced composite, consisting of transversely isotropic fibers and matrix, in terms of the mechanical properties and volume concentration of its con- stitutents. The results obtained herein are within the existing bounds and in good agreement with the experimental results. The fiber anisotropy has a significant effect on the mechanical property of the fiber-reinforced composites.
