Abstract

The authors propose a method of generating a B-spline with cusp under angle constraint manipulation. The idea is to present one solution of perfect connection between two B-spline surfaces in a specific angle constraint. Based on knot adjustment, a spatial C2continuous curve can be reformed into G2 continuous one. An algorithm is presented for generating a cusp curve with a specific angle as well as for the calculation of the constrained angle in 3D.
