Abstract

The problem of transforming a class of nonlinear time-variable multivariable systems to the controller and observer block companion forms is considered in this paper for pole assignment and observer design, respectively. Solving nonlinear time-varying partial differential equations is needed for finding the transformations and the conditions for the existence of such transforms are stated. An example is given to illustrate the theory.
