Ultrashort and broadband silicon polarization splitterrotator using fast quasiadiabatic dynamics

Abstract

We propose an ultrashort and broadband silicon mode-conversion polarization splitterrotator by the fast quasiadiabatic dynamics to speed up the adiabatic evolution. The designed device is 32.9 μm long and has a bandwidth > 100 nm.
