Abstract

In order to shorten the detecting time and reduce wall tiles repair costs, a detect method should be established that can quickly to find out the location of the separated wall tiles and know its separation rate. Nondestructive tests are carried on indoor and outdoor tests. A detect method is established by using thermal infrared images to find out tile location of separation rate larger than 50%. Firstly, plot the sonic velocity vs frequency diagram to decide the tile sonic velocity value of separation rate equal 50%. Subsequently, use the linearly equation between sonic velocity and temperature difference to decide the temperature difference threshold of tiles separation rate equal 50%. Finally, the threshold can be used to quickly detect tiles separation conditions in a building.
