Abstract
Some studies on the superconductivity of elements and compounds employing the high pressure techniques developed after IXth AIRAPT Conference held in 1983 are summarized and reviewed. The effectiveness of high pressure to the study of superconducting topics of current interest is demonstrated. Further studies are suggested.
