Being healthy is not only without injury or sickness but also included multiple aspects of health such as mental, social, spiritual health, etc. Furthermore, along with the popularization of smartphone and application, it is a tendency to promote mental health to the community through application platform. Base on the background mentioned above, the research focuses on middle-aged adults from 30 to 60 years old because their mental health can’t be ignored owing to many life events they encountered. To understand the behavior intention (BI) of mental health applications in middle age, the research applies the C-TAM-TPB model. TAM model is used especially to find out BI in new technology or technique, while further integrate with the influence of external environment and self-control ability from TPB theory, it sure gives comprehending user’s BI a more exhaustive consideration. The research invited 248 middle-age participants to fill out an online questionnaire and analyze the data with structural equation model, SEM. The research result shows ‘perceived usefulness (PU)’, ‘perceived ease of use (PEOU)’, ‘attitude (AT)’, ‘subjective norm (SN)’ and ‘perceived behavioral control (PBC)’ all have a significant positive effect to BI. Additionally, PEOU has a significant positive effect on AT through PU, and PU has a significant positive effect on BI through AT, both of them are partial mediation effects. Finally, this article discusses the research results and puts forward research limitations and related suggestions.
