AbstractAlthough the resource-based theory is important in strategic management, it is lack of the external environment analysis. This study tries to make a new interpretation and give a further understanding on the changes of relationships between enterprises by using dependence perspective.
The results are listed as follows：In this study, instead of focusing only on the improvement of core competency and competitive advantage, Dachan chooses to build relationships between external organizations and share resources with these organizations.
Initially, Dachan relied its demand on others. But Dachan grabbed the opportunity while the environment changed. It successfully transfer the relationship from “rely” to “dependence”, and established the competitiveness by utilizing others resources.
The processes of Dachan affects the way of utilizing resources and the development of competitive advantage are as follows：
Step 1: Evaluate internal resource.
Step 2: Improve by cooperating with external relations
Step 3: Try to transfer the relationship with external Organization from “rely” to “dependence”
Step 4: Create a new competitive advantage by integrating external resource with internal resource.
Finally, this study raised a new framework of resource base which contains the view of resource dependence. In my opinion, I think this study could provide some new perspectives and suggestions to the improvement of competitive advantage.
