Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s works are of various types. She is a productive writer, and famous for her novels. However, she has put efforts into performing arts gradually since her work, A Sky of One's Own was adapted to TV drama, and she was the screenwriter of it. The amount of literature works decreased, but her novels became more fabulous due to the changes of workplace and her life as a writer. Qiong-Qiong Yuan also started transformation in style and persuasion as female in the verified and open environment of performing arts field. The spindle of her works is novels, including short stories, flash fictions, novels, radio drama novels, love letter series belonging to private writing, and pilot works of novels. If we divide works based on time, there will be 80’s (1979-1988), 90’s (1989-2000), and the New Century (2006-2015). The research core can be changes in works of different periods and writing gradations. From transformation in changes of impersonal state to personal state to presentation of female body and oneself, the theme of Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s writing is mainly about marriage, love, and family. In this research, we will contrast her writer life, the process of finding female consciousness with stages, referencing of Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s writing, female, or feminism related research.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Chapter 2 80’s:Forward Position and Method of Female Writing

The spindle of this chapter is Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s works in 80’s. We can see her mild, conservative, traditional, and introverted writing style of 80’s. She tried her best to separate her works from herself. Hidden and unwilling to face her true self, she suppresses her true self with imitating and disguising. This is the impersonal writing style based on other’s expectation.

Chapter 3 90’s:Fracture and Transformation

In this chapter, we go through Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s works in 90’s. She was not productive at that time which means the transition of her focus from literature to screenplay. In this period, there are three pieces of works contrast with her different life as a screenwriter. She moved from simple, common family space to performing art industry where there is sexual promiscuity in. She encountered conflict between value systems and the lost about relationship made her writing themes change drastically from affection to disillusion of relationship among human beings. She focused on scary, thrilling but charming, lusty writing style at that time which became the feature of this period.

Chapter 4 The New Century:Female Lust, Private Writing

In this chapter, we talk about drastic changes in Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s relationship. In this period, she was not afraid to show herself between lines at all, especially in love letter series which involves the characteristics of private proses and anonymous writing. Qiong-Qiong Yuan’s writing about sex can be contrasted with Gayle Rubin’s argument. Rubin thinks that a large part of female suppression origins from sex. To think outside the box of sexual intercourse based on feudalism, patriarchy and fertility, the persuasion of female consciousness should also be found in sex issues. Through writing the scene about female reach sexual climax and enjoy sex, Qiong-Qiong Yuan let it become the ritual to collapse male power, and get rid of identity as object to find true self.
