Abstract

String instruments mainly shake the panel through string vibration to make sound This thesis mainly wants to simulate a model with strings One side is tightened and uses an imaginary spring to shake the string slightly on the spring on the other side Complicated boundary conditions cannot be solved by analytical methods to get the solution of wave equation so we use the boundary element method and numerical methods which based on wave equation and Fourier series to simulate the vibration of a real string instrument panel Expect to use the boundary element method to find the factors that allow energy to quickly dissipate and create a musical note that has almost the same frequency and same energy consumption as the string vibrating on the instrument
