A Study on the Acculturation Experience among International Students in National Cheng Kung University

Global migration has increased the number of students travelling to other countries for higher education In recent years many students have come to Taiwan for higher education International students can face difficulties adapting to the host country The present study is based on Berry’s (2003) acculturation framework of acculturation The current study presents a research on acculturation experiences of 5 international students in Taiwan National Cheng Kung University The current research is designed through an in-depth interview of qualitative approach When analyzing the answers to the question the researcher used a phenomenological approach According to the results of the present study it can be concluded that international students basically adapt well The result of this research can be useful to the office for working with foreign students professors psychological counselors and also for further research
