Abstract

Driven by environmental issues consumers tend to pursue the product more natural and not stimulate to the skin the demand for natural cosmetics is growing The purpose of the study was to explore the business model of Taiwan’s natural cosmetics companies The researcher selected three Taiwan natural cosmetics companies and interview with the relevant person The interview guide based on the “Business Model Canvas” which conducted by Osterealder & Pigneur in 2010 Hope this research can give some advice for which wants to enter the natural cosmetics industry let this industry can be carried forward in Taiwan The characteristics of Taiwan’s natural cosmetics company like below: A Value Proposition all focus on natural and advocate for the brand can be international B Dedicated to knowing and guarding against its own key resources C Key activities enable consumers to trust and recognize their brands D Have long-term stable key partners E Establish the channel same as the customers of their company F Customer segment focus on the female population having a certain spending power between thirty to forty years old G Customer relationship that does not emphasize discounts H The raw materials come from organic land I The revenue streams are dominated by commodities and the product orientation will be gradually adjusted in the future Also we found some factors that differ from the “business model canvas” model: A Not set up the target customer in the beginning B The cost comes from the value proposition C The customer segment and the channel show a two-way relationship
