Analysis of tracer test at Chingshui geothermal reservoirs

Abstract

Reinjection of spent geothermal fluid helps wastewater disposal and pressure maintenance It also helps to evaluate the connectivity between wells and the flow behavior of the groundwater Thermal water production in Chingshui geothermal field is mainly from the fracture zone in the Jentse member of the Lushan Formation In this study a tracer test was conducted in Chingshui geothermal field using sodium benzoate as a tracer Wells IC-19 and IC-21 were employed as a production well and an injection well respectively Based on the analysis of tracer test we estimated the geothermal reservoir parameters using the theory of solute transport
