Abstract

Distributed energy resources are gaining more attention in recent years thanks to the high penetration of both renewable energy source and energy storage system embedded tightly in current power system Microgrid by integrating those Distributed energy resources to its network could be a quick start to a promising business A microgrid operator the one in charge of the entire microgrid can apply the idea of sharing economy to provide energy to eventual consumers Capacity is the sharing item in this business The main target is minimizing consumers energy purchased cost while maximizing grid operator revenue To achieve those goals a smart scheduling process is proposed once a finite number of customers are being engaged to this business by renting a certain amount of capacity One-year real data have been used in the proposed method evaluation A sensitivity analysis is done along with interpretations to show the effectiveness of our proposed method illustrating sharing economy benefits The results show that the proposed method can increase operator’s profit while users reduce their energy cost Furthermore operator can invest more capacity of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) to earn more profit due to the install cost declining in the future and so users can purchase more service of PV and ESS to meet their energy demand
