Abstract

Taipei Terminal Control Area in northern island holds over forty percent of daily flights with two airports RCTP and RCSS However these two airports are within an area of ten nautical mile radius which limits the capacity of airspace It is necessary to consider as a multi- airport system to enhance airspace capacity for arrival/departure sequence in this area This research meant to simulate Taipei TCA as a multi-airport system in SIMMOD then induce an index of Landing Process Time to optimize separation in Taipei TCA Model of TCA will be simplified as combination of Standard Terminal Arrival Route Standard Instrument Departure few parts of the air routes runways and taxiways LPT is measuring landing occupation time which provides an index to measure and eliminate delay generate within the approach sequence The model is validated with flight plan data collected from ANWS then input flight schedule for the concerned period The result offers a baseline of modification of the TCA airspace separation
