Smart Grid is the concept of modernizing the electric grid It provides two-way communication to achieve realtime response In order to achieve two-way communication requirements we need to construct advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) AMI consists of Meter data management system (MDMS) concentrator and meter Each component can communicate with each other via a wired or wireless In AMI local area network the protocols like Zigbee WiFi and PLC have the potential to be used in AMI communication Compared with other protocols Zigbee possess with self network construction low cost and more safety Because of these advantages this paper adopts Zigbee as our LAN communication protocol In LAN concentrator will encounter many emergent situations which is concentrator loses its network connection function As a result it will take additional time on network construction resulting in reducing the reliability of Smart Grid In order to solve these issues this paper propose FJP and enhanced FJP to shorten the time of Zigbee network construction The strategy of this paper is let every meter join to specified concentrator Through this feature we proposed FJP which can avoid scanning unnecessary channels And use the concept of simplify association message exchange to propose enhanced FJP Therefore not only can message flow be managed easily but the time of network construction can be improved by taking advantage of this feature
