Generation and nonlinear dynamics of optical vortex beam with bottle beam pumping

In the first part of the experiment we use the 808 nm bottle beam to pump the Nd:YVO4 laser to generate optical vortices The bottle beam had different spot sizes at different distance so we adjusted the cavity length to obtain several different spot sizes to pump the crystal By doing this optical vortices with different orbital angular momentums has been generated In the second part of the experiment we added a sinusoidal modulation signal which was near the relaxation oscillation signal of the system directly to the pumping source to analyze the output signals of optical vortices with different topological charges We also made a comparison of the output signals of the mode-degenerate cavity configuration and the non-mode-degenerate cavity configuration
