CSR refers to a concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations (Gabriele Arnold 2011) Commercial partners’ environmental problem-solving motivation is one of the social enterprise’s success parameters in implementing and improving CSR performance This paper compares how commercial partners solve the environmental problem when receiving little and much information from social enterprise This paper also compares how they solve the environmental problem in low and high cooperation with other stores Two complimentary case studies and survey data from beverage store staff demonstrate the phenomenon of solving environmental problem motivation in high revealing and cooperation more likely than in low revealing and cooperation Besides the social enterprise needs to listen to commercial partners’ feedback to make more CSR performance improvements We find evidence that the feedback given to social enterprise is the result of beverage stores responses to: (1) the environmental problem awareness of beverage when receiving little and much information and (2) the environmental problem-solving togetherness when having low and high cooperation degrees with other stores We conclude by considering some consequences of too high revealing and too low cooperation that leads to the free-riding issue
