Abstract

The thesis uses paper tube as building materials discusses its mechanical possibilities as building materials and re-examines the design of people's lives in different phases of temporary buildings after the disaster The process of phase cycling reduces costs while achieving good quality of life and the rapidly expanding 21st century domino system The circular economy Re-solve architecture (regenerate share optimize loop virtualize exchange) is also interpreted in different post-disaster reconstruction periods through circular design Six phases in the thesis: 1 Introduction: Research Framework of Building System in Circular Economy 2 Metabolic universal system 3 Minimal housing plan system 4 Minimal housing to collective housing 5 Paper tube material testing 6 Discussion and Conclusion The thesis develops a new paper tube construction system through material testing to solve today's urban disaster issues and rethinks the architect's positioning in a circular economy through the design development process Eight years after the 311 earthquake in Japan nearly 100 000 people still live in government resettlement shelters After the disaster the scale status and impact of disasters have continued to expand So-called temporary shelters or mid- and long-term shelters have set rules It is no longer enough This paper re-interprets the material circulation system and the urgent need to build a circulation system by using a new paper tube construction system to achieve a balance between hardware reconstruction and life reconstruction Material circulation system and urgent construction of circulation system are two main concepts The material circulation system is built on the existing paper mill process and the advantages of paper tubes are different from other building materials In parallel another production mode is proposed to make the paper mill no longer It's just traditional manufacturing and it has the opportunity to become a service-side business model The urgent construction system proposes a universal mold moment assembly method which is between furniture and building scale which can produce different space deformation under different periods and different needs Different from the previous case of Ban Mao it focuses on the material texture of the paper tube itself When the construction management and demolition phases are reflected in the building system the disaster community life will have different space imagination The first chapter introduces the construction system and paper tube recycled materials under the circular economy as the basis for the research motivation discussing how the circular economy cuts into the concept of construction production and visited Weisheng Paper Industry to understand how the paper tube is made from recycled paper and become possible future building materials with high reuse rate and light weight Based on the positioning of the architect under the new paper tube construction system the architects discussed the changes in the disaster background of the twentieth century to the twenty-first century and found that it was different from Ban Mao's thoughts about the application of paper tube materials The second chapter Metabolic Universal System uses case analysis and quantification to find common problems with shelter products on the market Based on the conclusions of common problems two core concepts of circulation are proposed Furthermore the exhibition will focus on the construction of metabolic methods paper tube joining methods structural systems assembly moments methods of assembly and materials update mechanisms Chapter three develops four types of plan prototypes of the unit based on the building system and then produces different space imaginations The building unit can be transported by flat packaging to respond to the mobility of the material circulation system The fourth chapter is from housing unit to clusters Through the four unit planes different spatial assembly methods are developed according to different living modes and living needs From single unit to multiple unit combinations finally to the space imagination of cluster living Chapter five Paper Tube Mechanical Test a complete paper tube test method is used to review the structural rationality of the design part and to provide data conclusions for different paper tubes after paper tube pressure test and bending test Design process:During the convergence and divergence of the design iteration process the role of the designer in this thesis is the system integrator By continuously changing the roles among system managers material test engineers and architects the process of proposing to himself and overturning the proposal In China pushing the design to the future has imagination as well as process and structural rationality Construction:The partial demolition construction method is different from the previous construction method It provides a modified and expanded solution for the containment space In addition to solving the problem of excessive weight of the joint and reducing the advantages of the paper tube the angle of the paper tube truss has been increased The possibility of deformation Paper Tube Testing:As a temporary storage building material paper tubes have structural limitations in the use area and the use period Paper tube mechanical tests have confirmed that the pressure capacity of paper tubes is far greater than their bending resistance Therefore the paper tube truss system is the main structural system And the compressing and bending resistance of paper tubes of different sizes are the main basis for the subsequent design of the moment system Minimal to Collective:The plan system is based on the minimal living unit and develops a combination between different life styles Because of its construction and assembly methods it extends the different life scenarios in the context of the circulatory system such as: expansion sharing entertainment temporary exchange
