This paper focuses on the relations between multiplicity proficiency worker (i e slashie)’s perception bias mortality salience and intention to stay Bottomed on of Terror management theory (TMT) paradigm the first study examined the validity of mortality salience (MS) manipulation The second study explored the differences of perception bias (positive illusions and self-serving bias) and mortality salience on intention to stay and further analyzed the variation of intentions under positive illusion self-serving bias and mortality salience The result shows that positive illusion and mortality salience strengthen people’s intentions to maintain their present employment patterns Specifically there is no significant interaction between perception bias mortality salience and intention to stay This paper provided evidence that perception bias and mortality salience participate worker’s career development The implications of this study and suggestions on career development are discussed
