Abstract

This study investigates the dynamic behavior of the bridge with lead-rubber bearings using field experiments in which the MK-155U Eccentric Mass Vibrator System was used to shake the bridge The vibrator system can change the rotation frequency so that the external force can be adjusted The dynamic behavior of bridge were observed by changing the frequencies 1 6 Hz to 7 5 Hz and using various mass plates In the same time the accelerometers and LVDT were installed in different positions of the bridge where the acceleration and displacements were measured In order to find out the bridge natural frequency and the LRB efficiency the displacements and acceleration of deck were evaluated The different acceleration between the deck and pier shows that the isolation effectiveness of LRB and this study also compared the natural frequency and isolation effectiveness of the micro and force vibrations
