Many researchers have proposed cloud computing solutions for manufacturing companies However they are usually too expensive and complicated for traditional manufacturing companies to compare and to determine the services they need Therefore this thesis discusses the current bottlenecks of cloud services and provides a novel compact manufacturing private cloud infrastructure (CMPCI) in order to apply cloud computing infrastructure and Internet of Things (IoT) to resolve the above issues The objectives of this research are to help upstream service providers to provide free fast and non-investment cloud services to downstream users Two key technologies developed for implementing CMPCI are listed as follows: 1 Key Technology 1: IoT-based Logistic Management System Technology (1) A logistic management system technology based on Logistic Cloud is deployed and applied to a scenario of T Company (2) A logistic management system design was applied in a normal logistic scenario to prove that the developed IoT-based Logistic Management System Technology is workable in actual logistic applications (3) Several experiments results showed that the developed IoT-based Logistic Management System Technology performance is remarkable 2 Key Technology 2: Agent-based Equipment Monitoring System Technology (1) A framework for a cross-platform information mining agent with its mechanism was proposed and developed (2) The technology of implementing a packet format setup and transmission test was developed in this research using TCP/IP-based service oriented architecture communication protocol (3) An agent experiment including packet monitoring and a human-machine interface operating was developed in this research to show that a heterogonous platform packet monitoring is workable
