Global warming and climate change caused by carbon dioxide emissions from human behavior activities have brought extreme impacts on natural ecosystems and human systems In recent years mitigation has become a topic of international concern Taiwan also legislated for a greenhouse gas reduction and management law in 2015 Discussing the responsibility of local small-scale carbon emissions and mitigating the carbon dioxide emissions from local energy consumption have become the core issues discussed in this paper This paper will use 346 townships in Taiwan as the spatial scope of the study to explore the carbon dioxide generated by localized living energy and treat it as a local responsibility for carbon dioxide emissions using government public data to examine the overall and local carbon emission hotspots at different urban development The variables discussed in the model are not limited to only residential or transportation This paper integrates to spatial development transportation social and environmental We run multiple regression models and identify the carbon reduction hotspots in different regions through marginal and elastic analysis Through the results of this paper it can be used as a place to respond to strategy reference for mitigation of climate change within its own controlled carbon emissions in the future The empirical results show that everyone in Taiwan should bear an average of 2 193 1kg of carbon dioxide emissions every year If the average Car increase 1%(3unit/1 000person) the average annual local responsibility of carbon dioxide emissions will increase 0 52%(11 44kgco2e) If Motor increase 1%(6unit/1 000person) the average annual local responsibility of carbon dioxide emissions will increase 0 20%(4 36kgco2e) If the average housing size increase 1%(0 02person) the average annual local responsibility of carbon dioxide emissions will increase 0 52%(12 62kgco2e) If housing area increase 1%(0 44ping) the average annual local responsibility of carbon dioxide emissions will increase 0 25%(6 04kgco2e) Controlling the coverage ratio、housing area in city region and if it can implement the control of the energy consumption of each member of the household there will be more effective in energysaving than suburbs Suburbs areas mainly control the use of private vehicles which has a more significant effect on reducing local carbon emission responsibility than in urban areas In addition in agriculture livestock fishery and forestry we should transform and increase the use of renewable energy or green energy
