This study employed a mixed-methods approach. Firstly, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 9 current bilingual teachers in Tainan city to explore potential sources of job stress. Subsequently, a “Primary and Secondary School Bilingual Teacher’s Job Stress Questionnaire” was developed as a research instrument. Using random simple sampling, a total of 113 questionnaires completed by bilingual teachers in Tainan city were collected through anonymous online surveys. The study shows that: (1) Bilingual teachers in primary and secondary schools in Tainan City experience a moderate level of job stress. (2) Among the five dimensions of bilingual teacher’s job stress scale, curriculum planning stress scored the highest, while administrative workload stress scored the lowest. (3) Teachers with different background variables have some variance in years of experience in bilingual teaching, school location, type of bilingual school, and English background.
