According to 2018 statistics from the Ministry of Health and Welfare the number of people suffering from depression in Taiwan has reached 1 25 million While depression has become a disease of modern civilization people's understanding of it is generally less than most physiological diseases The stigma of depressing in Taiwan makes it more difficult for patients to cure and integrate into society The author of this thesis has a four-year history of depression During this period he experienced withdrawal from daily life interpersonal conflicts and lack of understanding from his own family These experiences were the foundation for his creative research The author hopes that through various media and perspectives viewers will have more understanding and to stimulate interactive thinking and empathy for depressed patients This creation is a transformation of the author’s personal experience starting from the discussion of the environment and interpersonal interactions among the author’s stressors to the author’s look at others suffering depression and finally the impact of the disease on the author’s own physical and mental state The descriptions of far-reaching characters are pieced together trying to find out and explore the cause of depression by art creation and trying to find a way to cure or coexist with it There is also hope that viewers will consider other people’s state of mind their dilemmas and create a more friendly healing environment for those with stigma of depression
