The Effects of Big Five Personality on Academic performance: A Case Study Drawn from the Lesson Learned in a Generation Z Cohort in Central Taiwan

Abstract

Literature has indicated that the Big Five personality do influence students’ academic accomplishments in different orientation The adaption for The Big Five to the Chinese people however has a translation issue this research evaluate students who majors in Business Management Technological & Vocational Education (TVE) in Puli Taiwan also known as Z generation (Gen Z) who took TVE Joint College Entrance Examinations as proxy measurements of academic performance for fairness and objectiveness Multiple regression is used to perform statistics analysis to understand the relation between the Big Five and Academic performance The finding of the present study reveals that Gen Z shares Agreeableness as common Big Five personality Openness to Experience and Extraversion have significant positively and negatively related to academic performance
